LakePoint Sports to Host FansGiving Celebration

LakePoint Sports to host FansGiving, a celebration for the Atlanta community. Inaugural festival invites local community to enjoy games, food and music

Atlanta (Sept. 24, 2019) – LakePoint Sports, the nation’s premier youth sports destination located in the Metro Atlanta area, announced today that it will host the inaugural LakePoint FansGiving event, a celebration for the community, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 9, 2019 on its campus.

“LakePoint is grateful to be surrounded by a supportive community, and the FansGiving event was created as a small way to say thank you, for helping make everything here at LakePoint possible,” said Mark O’Brien, CEO & President of LakePoint Sports. “We also realize that November is a time to celebrate family, friends and veterans. We are excited to open our campus to host our ‘extended’ LakePoint Sports family in a get together to enjoy music, food and fun, while getting to honor our local veterans.”

Thanks to a generous donation from Shottenkirk Honda, a raffle will be offered for a chance to win a new Honda Civic with all the proceeds benefiting a local veterans organization.

“Our local businesses fuel the economic engine of Bartow County, and LakePoint Sports is one of the biggest contributors to our success,” said Cindy Williams, CEO of the Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber of Commerce. “LakePoint FansGiving will be a celebration of the progress our community has made as we look forward to continued growth and shared prosperity.”

Admission is free to LakePoint FansGiving, and the event will feature assorted games, a collection of well-known food trucks from across Atlanta, a hosted car show, and live music to entertain guests throughout the day. Street performers will roam to engage with fans. Since college football will be in full swing, LakePoint Sports will broadcast some of the day’s top games with tailgating, music and other games.

“LakePoint FansGiving is not only a celebration of our local community, but yet another opportunity for LakePoint Sports and Bartow County to shine for all those who come to visit with us that day,” said Ellen Archer, Executive Director of the Cartersville-Bartow County Convention and Visitors Bureau. “We’re excited to be a part of this community-focused event that we’re certain will become one of our newest traditions.”

LakePoint Sports will be partnering with Erika Wyant with Flexible Content to help develop and execute LakePoint FansGiving. Additional information regarding LakePoint FansGiving, including new sponsors and partners, as well as, announcements around food truck participants, music acts and the car show, will be released in the coming weeks.
